Yea, tea wasn't really around in Ancient Rome, so my Latin may be a little sketchy...but I kind of love "Seize the Tea!". I have my husband to thank for that one - just out of the blue, as I was working on tea blend ideas and the website, and all the social media pages (am I supposed to admit that all this stuff takes work...well, it does, but I LOVE it!). So yea...suddenly a booming voice behind me exclaimed "Carpe Tea - Seize the Tea!" and my immediate response was " 'Tea' isn't Latin!" I'm such a nerd...
Luckily for me, my husband thinks I'm cute. And also luckily for me, he's a freaking genius! Seize the Tea! That's genius, right? It's catchy, it's a call to action, it's everything a marketing person loves! So what's it MEAN exactly? Well...there are a lot of teas out there. A LOT OF TEA. Imagine if each star in the night sky was a cup of tea...yea...there's that much tea out there. Hot, Iced, Green, White, Black, Oolong, Pu Erh, Flavored, Decaf, Herbal, Detox, Matcha, Mate, Chai blends (holy smokes...chai blends ALONE are a universe unto themselves!). Don't let that overwhelm you - tea is relaxing, healthy, delicious! Try something new once in a while, just to see if you like it. Carpe Herba Thea!
I remember the first time I tried the Summer Rose tea. I was scared. I almost didn't brew it. It smelled sooo heavily of roses, which is a beautiful thing! But it didn't seem like something I'd want to drink. As it was brewing, I realized the fragrance was mellowing out - and when I took that first sip, I was in love. It smells like roses....but the taste is mild, even a little sweet...it's like drinking really nice black tea with a vase of roses on the table. It's there - but not overwhelming. Ahhh...I love this tea. I so Carpe the Summer Rose Tea! You should try it. It won't always be in stock - but if it's there and you're in the mood for trying something a little different, that's a good one to pick.
My point is this...If you're in a rut with grocery store teas, and especially if that's the only tea you know...give ours a shot. We've chosen a variety of teas that we will rotate out seasonally - but if there's something you really enjoy, let us know - we'll try to get it blended up for you in a fresh, high quality tea. Carpe that Herba Thea, people! Your body will thank you.
Peace & Joy,
Terri
