Being "That" Friend - the Over-Informer

Hey there! So I thought it might be best if I just went with full disclosure for my first Blog post. I am an over-informer. It's bad. I mean, I don't shut up when it comes to some things. I exhaust myself from trying to get every bit of what I want to say out of my mouth before the person I'm talking to starts to get that stare...that dead stare that says they have totally disengaged. I mean...I get it. I try really hard not to be that way. It's just no use, though. When it comes to tea, tea wares, my personal mission to bring back the pretty cup & saucer set (more on that later) and yarn...crochet patterns...why knitting is my nemesis...fiber arts in general...see, I can't stop. It's an illness, really.
Thankfully, I have some of the very best friends on this planet. In fact, it was my friends and family that I have to thank for this little adventure. Maybe it was just to get me to slow down and take a breath - but even as the dead stare was setting in, I inevitably heard "You should totally sell tea!" or "yarn!"" or "those little bowls you make!". So here I am!
My name is Terri and I really do love this stuff as much as I say I do. It's a lucky thing to be able to work with the things that make you passionate. With a TON of support from my husband, family and friends, I'd like to introduce you to Terri's Teas & Doilies, LLC. We are a new little company, local to Virginia. Our mission is to offer quality tea and fiber arts products with an eye toward making life more peaceful, beautiful and joyous. Yes - I really said that. And I mean it. I know it sounds a little hokey - but really - don't we NEED peace & joy? And wouldn't it be wonderful to purposefully fill your life with beautiful things, especially when the mundane is so easy to come by?
So...think about replacing that old mug with a gorgeous cup & saucer set. Consider adding "fiber arts" to the things you should know more about. Drink a cup of really good tea. I'll join ya!
Oh - and be sure to say hello!
Terri
